Father’s Day Gift Ideas
Whether it’s your own dad or the father of your children (or co-father depending on your family), June 16 will be a special day for him. This year, it’s Father’s Day, though it is shared with an important public holiday.
So, to make sure he still feels appreciated, get him a really great gift.
There are lots of possible options. We’ll list some of them here.
The ‘Into His Music’ Dad.
Bose is boss. They have some of the best sound on the planet. If Dad really enjoys his music (like, if he has a paid for Spotify account), Bose’s collection of sound-cancelling headphones offers superb sound quality. It’s basically like put them on your head, press ‘play’, and a concert is live performed in your ears.
It is also accommodating if Dad enjoys watching television late at night (when he gets a chance to make his own decision on what to watch 😬). Because not only will he be able to enjoy crystal clear audio, but he’ll do it without disturbing anyone else in the house.
Of course, headphones are only part of their repertoire of products. Bose has music home entertainment systems and more, if you’re feeling up to it.
The ‘Keeping Up with The (Steve) Jobs’ Dad.
Tech. It’s always changing, improving, getting better graphic power. Most Dads, except the fuddy-duddy type, love their technology. And hate it when their laptops start getting as slow as a turtle in quicksand. Incredible Connection always has the latest stock in, and their great customer service ensures you’ll find the machine that’ll reboot Dad’s happiness.
The ‘Getting Lots of “Exercise”’ Dad.
If the Dad in question is your husband, then a secret (shhh, the kids don’t need to know) gift might be a good idea too. Bras N Things has lingerie to suit women of all shapes and sizes and are the exclusive licensee for Playboy’s lingerie collection in South Africa. Let’s leave it at that, shall we…
The ‘I Mean Business’ Dad.
And we don’t mean he’s a strict disciplinarian.
Alberto P. is our specialist luggage and leather tenant. Among the stock of their fine wares are some excellent leather and canvas briefs, laptop carrying cases, tablet PC covers, and bags. Perfect for Dad if he’s big about keeping his business utilities like computers, pens, notebooks, etc, in the best condition and ready for action, wherever he goes.
If he does lots of business trips, they have great luggage bags too.
The ‘Sporting’ Dad.
Is Dad into his soccer with the boys on the weekend? Or he plays a bit of rugger with the buggers? Perhaps he’s into jogging to keep fit. Or squash to keep limber? Whatever it is, Dad’s into his health, and there’s every reason, in this stressful world we live in, to encourage it.
Whatever sports he’s into – except maybe kung fu – we have a specialist store for that – you’ll be able to have a ball at Sportmans Warehouse.
The ‘I Love Movies’ Dad.
Whether it’s Chris Pratt running from angry dinosaurs or Chris Pratt flying on rocket-propelled boots at angry space tyrants, Dad loves it. He has a thing for binging on series, too. Maybe even collects Funko Pops of his favourite pop cultural icons.
Well, then Musica is your best stop. It’s great for all things DVD, Blu-Ray, and even vinyl if Dad is into this classical medium for music. There’s nothing that sounds quite like a vinyl recording. Especially that slight scratchy sound on some discs.
Sealing the envelope.
Whatever kind of Dad yours (or your husband) is, you’ll also be able to get great cards at our CNA store. Or the materials to make a handcrafted one yourself. Which, of course, is a gift truly from the heart.
So, here’s to making it a great Father’s Day for Dad!
